Poem called "Darling"
That day, you said darling to me
Reaction rather physical
The memory just mythical
T'was something I could not foresee
I said "please don't" because felt unethical
And you said "oh I know now"
And you withdrew to show
This was accidental
Still you remembered
I don't know what for
That subject is sore
That subject was tender
I told you quite some time ago
When I ask
You always will it, make it so
I think this trust might last
Can't get it right, isn't that right?
That's how I know now it should be
Could certainly call it a night
That day you said "darling" to me
